Quickly Compare Case Attributes

CaseMetrix has created a suite of customized visualization reports that allow you to quickly compare a variety of significant case attributes.

Custom Visualization Catagories

There are four major catagories within our customized visualization reports that allow you to quickly compare a variety of significant case attributes.

Case Valuation: This plots the median values (since medians are more stable than averages in personal injury cases). Type in your latest offer to see how it compares to others. You can choose to include or exclude statistical outliers.

Compare Settlements and Verdicts: This visualization allows you to take your search and get averages and medians for every possible phase of a case: pre-suit, litigated settlements and verdicts. This gives you the ability to judge the advantage (or disadvantage) of litigating cases or taking them to trial, compared with settling them earlier in the process. For verdicts, it also reports the number and percentage of defense verdicts (judgment <= medical expenses).

County Case Distribution: This plots the median values (since medians are more stable than averages in personal injury cases) in every county in a state where we have data. So you can quickly see which are the best (or worst) venues for your case. Counties are color coded by median value ranges.

Comparisons:Your search can be broken out by various significant criteria, which allows you to see averages and medians (for example: prior related injuries, DUIs, etc.)

“I asked for a figure based upon the search results and the jury returned a verdict of $9,000,000″

CaseMetrix is very helpful to me in appreciating what juries have done in prior cases. I recently searched CaseMetrix to specifically determine an appropriate amount to present to a Dekalb County jury on a premises rape case. I asked for a figure based upon the search results and the jury returned a verdict of $9,000,000.”

“CaseMetrix has proved to be an excellent resource for our firm and especially for our clients having suffered serious injuries…

“The data collected by CaseMetrix has been incredibly helpful to our firm and our clients. In one case, for example, we used the visual components generated by CaseMetrix graphing various settlements to show an insurer its offer of $250,000 was 66% less than the median and 69% less than the average settlement amount for individuals with similar injuries. In another case, we used the same visual materials in successfully asking the insurer to reconsider our limits demand of $100,000 and enable our client to pursue underinsured motorist benefits under his own policy. Overall, CaseMetrix has proved to be an excellent resource for our firm and especially for our clients having suffered serious injuries.”

“…giving the client this data comparison, in such an easily understandable format, gives the client more confidence in their final decision.

“The data visualization graphs are a quick and easy way for clients to digest the extensive data that CaseMetrix offers users. In such instances where a client feels uncomfortable about the decision to accept or reject an offer to settle a personal injury claim, I will often present that client with a data graph created by CaseMetrix showing where that client’s offer falls on the bell curve of outcomes of comparable cases. I have found that giving the client this data comparison, in such an easily understandable format, gives the client more confidence in their final decision.”
